"Works okay, but not super intuitive"
RingCentral does what it’s supposed to do, but i don’t find it that easy to figure out. The menus feel kind of scattered, and it gets frustrating when I’m clicking through a bunch of places just to change something simple.
Call quality has been mostly fine, so I wouldn’t say it’s a bad tool. It just feels heavier and more clunky than it needs to be, and that makes using it every day more annoying than I’d like.

"CRM sync never really worked for me"
I really wanted this to work, and maybe I’m partly to blame because I didn’t have a ton of time to troubleshoot, but the CRM integration kept breaking on me. I reached out to support hoping it was something simple I had missed, but they weren’t very helpful. After a while, I just couldn’t keep spending time on it

"Works better as your team gets bigger"
In my experience, it does scale as the team grows, which is a plus. That said, once more people started using it, things felt a bit harder to keep organized. I’d say it’s fine overall, but it can get messy if you don’t stay on top of the setup

I’ve used it for overseas calls and it does the job well, but it’s not perfect. The rates could be a little better, and there’s sometimes a bit of lag that gets annoying 🙂

I was trying to add a few users and tweak some call settings, and the admin portal just feels old and clunky. Maybe I’m being a little harsh because I was already frustrated, but it really gives off that “built years ago and never updated” vibe. Menus are hard to find, pages take forever to load, and when something goes wrong, the error messages don’t really tell you what happened. I end up clicking around way too much just to do basic admin tasks.

"Mobile app is way too glitchy :/"
I use RingCentral on my phone more than anything, the app has been frustrating. Calls randomly drop, messages can take forever to load, and sometimes it freezes right when I’m trying to answer a call - not great when it’s for work. I’ve updated it a few times hoping it would get better, but the same issues keep popping up. The desktop version is fine for me, but the mobile app just doesn’t feel reliable enough :(

I had to follow up more than I expected just to get my cancellation taken care of. It did eventually get canceled, but the process felt dragged out. What annoyed me most was getting the same canned apology instead of a clear update on what was actually happening.

I really wanted this team messaging app to work out, but i regret giving it so much time. Messages lag more than they should, threads get confusing fast, and notifications sometimes show up way too late to be useful. It just ended up creating more hassle than it solved.

The calls are generally okay and it does work most of the time, but the audio drops out here and there, which can get annoying. It’s not unusable, but for something I’m paying for, I’d expect it to be more reliable. I’d appreciate some kind of credit or compensation for the inconvenience...

"Support takes forever sometimes"
RingCentral is fine when everything’s working, but wow, getting help can be a hassle. I had to explain the same problem to like three different support people, and I still never really got a clear answer. The chat just kept sending me links that didn’t actually fix anything. It’s not the worst service I’ve ever used, but the support definitely needs to be faster and actually helpful.

"Porting my number was way more frustrating than advertised"
I tried moving my number over to RingCentral it was a mess. The wording made it sound like the process would be simple and fairly quick, but that was definitely not my experience. It turned into weeks of back-and-forth emails, random delays, and vague answers. Support kept telling me to wait another 24–48 hours, but nothing ever seemed to actually move forward. Meanwhile, my business calls were getting disrupted, and it didn’t really feel like anyone was taking it seriously. I wouldn’t go through this again.

"Call Routing Turned Into a Headache"
We gave ringcentral a shot because we needed something simple for routing calls across our small team. Nope. Calls kept ending up with the wrong person, or sometimes they’d just bounce around like nobody knew where they were supposed to go.
Setup looked straightforward at first, but every little tweak seemed to mess up something else. Frustrating. When we reached out to support, they mostly had us recheck the same settings over and over, which didn’t really get us anywhere.
Maybe it’s better if you’re a bigger company with someone dedicated to managing it all. Maybe. For us, the missed calls and weird routing issues just made it feel like more trouble than it was worth.
"Video calls leave me feeling completely in the dark"
I’ve had a really rough time with the video calls. They freeze up or suddenly go blurry, and the audio cuts in and out even though my internet works fine everywhere else. It makes work meetings super awkward because I’m constantly asking people to repeat themselves or trying to guess what I missed. Half the time I feel like I’m just left in the dark during the conversation. it’s too unreliable for anything important.

Overall, I remember the process being simple, though I’ll admit I’m probably forgetting some of the small details. The thing that stuck with me was getting surprised by a few extra fees I hadn’t noticed upfront. I just wish the pricing had been a little clearer from the start.

I don’t know, I guess I keep hoping faxing will be smoother by now, but it’s still just... frustrating. Faxes fail way too often, and it feels like I spend more time checking if something actually went through than I should

The calling part works mostly fine, so I don’t have many complaints there. But the analytics and reporting side has been frustrating. It takes way too many clicks to get basic reports, filters keep resetting, and some of the numbers literally don’t match what we export. Support responded, but the answers were basic and didn’t really solve much. Overall, it’s not great if you’re trying to keep a clear eye on team performance.

"Setup was confusing, but not terrible"
The onboarding took longer than I expected, and parts of the setup were kind of confusing. That said, it wasn’t exactly awful either—once I figured out where everything was, it started to make more sense. I was frustrated at first, but I guess it all worked out in the end

"As someone who has to stay on..."
As someone who has to stay on top of calls and messages all day for work, the RingCentral desktop app has been really frustrating lately. It takes forever to open, and sometimes it just sits there loading like it forgot what it’s supposed to do.
Calls freeze, messages come in late, and I’ve been randomly logged out in the middle of the day more than once. I end up restarting the app way too often just to get basic things working again.
I’m usually patient with work tools, but this one has been testing me. The browser version seems a little more reliable, but the desktop app feels like more of a headache than a help right now.

Our phones have been going down way too often, and calls actually drop randomly during the busiest parts of the day. Support keeps saying they’re looking into it, but nothing really seems to improve. It’s frustrating trying to run a small office when the main phone system is this unreliable...

"Easy voicemail"
RingCentral voicemail has been good for our small team. I check messages on my phone or laptop. Forwarding is quick. Notifications lag sometimes. Still saves me time.
